About Father Peter

I am a Catholic priest serving in New Zealand, grateful for the privilege of walking with people in faith and daily life. My ministry has always been shaped by a love for scripture, quiet prayer, and the gentle ways God meets us in ordinary moments.

I served in parishes from 1966 until retiring from active ministry in 2019. Since then, I have continued pastoral work online and remain an active member of the parish in which I reside.

Over the years, certain values have become central to my discernment and my understanding of the Church’s life. They form a personal testimony — a summary of what I believe, what I have learned, and where my heart rests:

  • facing the issues raised in an often‑hostile world

  • devotional relationships with God

  • spiritualities that are true and proven

  • abiding in churches that mentor and baptise

  • clergy working together loyally in Christ

  • ordained and non‑ordained ministries collaborating

  • reading and praying the Word of God

  • proclaiming the Word of God

  • doing liturgy correctly to support faith and good works

  • the strength and witness of domestic churches

Wherever you are, welcome to this online pastoral outreach. From where I am in my Catholic life, I pray for you, for your household, and for your parish — if you have one. Please pray for this venture, visit it online, and use the contact form to bring your comments to my email inbox.
